Sloppy Taco Palace – Orlando

Welcome to the Taco Palace. You know you are home when you hear those words. 

Welcome to the taco palace!!! If you frequent STP you may have heard someone yell this phrase a few times. That would usually be Bucky (bartender/owner) who has slowly made STP into a Kirkman/universal area bar institution. 

For me, as it is for a lot of the loyal followers it started A VERY LONG time ago in the same plaza that the current Mexican agave restaurant used to occupy (don't want to mention any names), that I walked in for the first time and some strange bartnder behind the bar yelled at me "welcome to the taco palace". Years later with alot of struggles, Bucky was able to re-open under his new bar brand called STP. While that previous establishment closed it's main spirit and ALOT of loyal customers followed to STP. This is a perfect example of how the owners and staff members make the soul of any business, and adding a just a little bit of tequila also does not hurt. 

If your into tequila, taco baskets, live music and bartenders that have your drink of choice ready as you walk in, this is your spot!! Just don't expect any DJ's, over priced drinks and under portion food, like some Mexican spots around the area. This is your raw, local go to bar spot and not sure the loyal followers and staff would like it any other way. 

While in STP expect to see some fun decor, like the menus look like license plates, the Time magazine mirror (from big lebowski), some Mexican flair and intesting neon signs. 

Sloppy Taclo Palace is full of drink specials, intersting characters, fun locals and an exceptional staff. So don't think of going to Margaritavile for a good time while you have your own local tequila heaven just across the street.
